Firealpaca protect alpha2/25/2023 Size by pressure will only work if you have a pressure-sensitive graphics tablet attached (a mouse replacement, see this information about tablets) or you have a screen with pressure-sensitive digitizer built in. If you have set your sliders correctly, you can then use Protect Alpha and over-paint to colour your lines on the same layer.Īlternatively, you could try a combination of layer blending modes (for one example that would work with some line art you could try putting the line art and another layer above it into a layer folder, colouring in the upper layer and set it to Overlay to colour your lines, possibly setting the layer folder to Multiply mode). If your lines are on a white “paper” background, you might need to first use Filter menu, Extracting Lines (and play with the sliders) - probably the preferred solution in most cases. This is the natural default is you have originally drawn the lines in FireAlpaca on a new (transparent) layer, but it might not be the case if you are using scanned line art or an image from another source (e.g. Protect Alpha then painting on the same layer will work if your lines are the only things on the layer, and the rest of the layer is transparent.
